                      When the State
becomes the Enemy of the People.

At eighteen, living in Chicago, and holding both a British Passport
and US immigrants Green Card I faced a decision. My mother was
Canadian and I had to then choose which political master I would
serve and as this arose during the Vietnam War, I though long and
hard about which citizenship I would affirm for the future.  Whilst
not drafted I remained liable for U.S. military service as I enjoyed
all of the rights and duties of a natural born American, excepting
the right to vote. Having made my decision to go home I sailed to
England, returning my Green Card.  I took very seriously the
imperative "America: Love It or Leave It!" then proclaimed by
multitudes of bumper stickers.  In the U.K.  I voted Conservative,
as that Party appeared to be more in touch with reality than the
Labour Party.  Working in the Highlands during the oil boom, I
flirted with the Scottish National Party was reasonably uninvolved
in UK politics until 1992 when my political world exploded. Then a
friend asked if I knew anything about "Maastricht".  I told him I
knew it as a fairly boring town in Holland, a centre for drug
trafficking and home to a Novotel in which I had stayed.  He sent
me a copy of the Treaty of European Union and asked for my
comments.  Upon reading Article 8 1 and 2,  learned I had been
made a citizen of a hitherto non-extant nation and was subject
to the duties and privileges therein.

My American civics lessons had been clear. The political power
to which the citizen owes his allegiance is the protector of the
rights of the citizen and in return the citizen has duties and
responsibilities; these are to pay tax to the government and to
die, if necessary, in military service defending the nation state.
Others and I raised the matter with various departments as to
how one could renounce this new found and most unwelcome
imposition; to me unprecedented since civilisation began. One
knows the honour with which Paul held his Roman citizenship,
and one was aware of those who had been stripped of their
citizenship, and forfeited their rights and privileges from their
respective states, but never had citizenship been imposed without
consulting the "citizen" to be. Letters were sent t the following
persons and departments in June 1995, enquiring how such
citizenship could be renounced:
The Prime Minister, The Foreign Secretary, The Home Secretary,
and Ian Taylor
M.P.  They replied

Home Office, June 23, 1995
"Union Citizenship is not equivalent of citizenship of a state and
will not take the place of national citizenship……….the status of
British citizens and their relationship to the Crown remain
unchanged. The Union DOES NOT HAVE LEGAL PERSONALITY
AND DOES NOT ADOPT THE ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES OF
STATEHOOD."
[Emphasis mine].  "Nowhere [in the treaties] is there any
duty…. such as military service."

Home Office, July 11, 1995
"…..there is no formal mechanism for renunciation of EU
citizenship, and your status as such does not, of course,
affect your allegiance to the Crown."

Ian Taylor M.B.E. ,M.P., June 19, 1995
"The European Community has been a means of securing
peace…..Only by being active Europeans will we protect and
advance British interests.  I had a personal example of how
successful we can be when I persuaded the other eleven
countries to liberalise their telephone structure by 1998…"

Mr Taylor was again asked to answer the question he had so
studiously avoided.  He replied on July 4, 1995 "There is no
"European Citizenship" as such for you  to renounce.  It is used
as a useful term to encourage people to work for a common aim.
As it has signally failed in your case, I suggest that you ignore it."

Foreign & Commonwealth Office June 28, 1995
Citizenship of the European Union does not replace national
citizenship Indeed it cannot be acquired without national
citizenship.  Nor does it conflict with loyalty or allegiance
to the Crown …………It is not possible to renounce European
Citizenship, any more than it is possible, as a British citizen,
to renounce Commonwealth citizenship.  It could only be
achieved by renouncing your British citizenship."

Letter from Dr. Brian Mawhinney M.P. May 1996 addressed me
as "Dear Fellow Citizen", and prompted me to fax Geoffrey
Martin of the European Commission, London asking him how
to renounce my European Citizenship. He replied on May 14,
1996: "I can only presume, as this is a matter for the British
Parliament, that you deal directly with your MP."

Readers of London Miscellany will be able to draw their own
conclusions from these contradictory and duplicitous
"answers" and will understand why I now also hold a Canadian
Passport.  So when the Major government asked for my vote, I
told them what they could do.   For a while I gave the Blair
government the benefit of the doubt.  How tragic therefore, to
discover that Blairism had taken the torch from the
Conservatives and the answers coming from the new
government's offices were the same despite the despot's
appeal to the "people".

Never in living memory has there been a government more
remote from the "people" than the present elected dictatorship.
I have commiserated with Labour and socialist fellow "citizens"
about the rape of Europa. Only this time it is we, the English
people, who are being raped by Europa and her fellow
travelling oligarchies.  The Blair government appears so
repressive that even the Labour Commons are afraid to
demand the truth.   Under New Labour the foundations are
under attack.  We are being divided that we may be ruled.
The Union is to be rent asunder, and England to be divided into
Regions, the House of Lords wrecked  with no structure to
replace it, and ever increasing politically correctness becomes
law; a stupidity which guarantees more inter racial and inter
cultural violence in this Fabian nightmare.

But almost as though roused from a deep sleep the people who
make up middle England are realisng they face the greatest
threat to our nation for seven hundred years.  And not all are
over fifty years old. Political activism has not been as strong
since the 1800's yet the Fabian controlled broadcast media
ignore it.  So do the government and to their peril, for the
English have only recently been awakened to national identity,
unnecessary when things ran smoothly.   Now, no longer
represented by any major political party, we receive duplicated
platitudes from the Government and the office of the Leader
of the Opposition.   We are stunned that our "leaders" do
not lead, nor do they defend our national interests.  Men are
jailed for failing to pay their television licenses, yet men who
have murdered with violence are set free - for the sake of an
"Orwellian" peace.  One message reverberates: The people
are an annoying irrelevance and the only way to change
things is through the gun or by dictat.  We have seen the
success of violence in Israel, Kenya, and South Africa. We
are witnessing it in Northern Ireland.
If Corpus Juris becomes EU law and continental political
professionals continue to make fools of our supine
politicians, then the inevitable result will be civil war.  Our
once great country has been betrayed by successive
governments since the European Economic "community" was
sold to us under the guise of a trading arrangement of
independent states.  Since then we have lost most of our
manufacturing industries in the first organised de
industrialisation of a Western nation.  The UK as the only
net importer of foodstuffs has seen its agriculture and
fishing industries destroyed by the imposition of quotas
and set aside, and the cultural attack from within both
the educational establishment and the media has been
merciless and unremitting.  Thus the state, a servant of
the citizenry, has become the enemy of the people. Soon
the results will soon be seen on the streets.  It is sad, as
it is wholly unnecessary, but our present politicians have
neither read, nor understood, history and therefore all of
us are destined to repeat it.  I fully expect that within ten
years I and many of my friends will be imprisoned for
criticising the EU, having run foul of some of the more
pernicious and draconian laws which will stem from
Corpus Juris for we shall have become, by remaining what
we always were, the enemies of the new and Orwellian State.

Shortly after WWII my father wrote  "The State as a Servant
of God".   It would be ironic if his son were to author a book
shortly before the next one entitled "The State as the Servant
of Antichrist".
